List Your Business Now

As an FBA-listed Franchisor, you are helping our members effectively market your concept to their clients. Being listed with the FBA allows members to actively search for your concept in our database, based on specific selling points that appeal to their clients. 

You will have 24-hour access to your account, allowing you to update and mange all content about your business within our site. You will also have the opportunity to present your concept to our members, via recorded conference call or webinar, to properly educate them on the details of your concept

Your Listing Consultant

Our consultants look to the FBA for its high level of categorized information which can easily accessed through its search engine driven database. Developmental Marketing's creation of this resource exposes your franchise by what makes it unique. This helps to differentiate your business from others in the marketplace as well as enhance those benefits that help to sell your concept. Your personal listing consultant will work with you and your listed FBA profile by giving you a marketable insight from the eyes of a consultant. Each and every Featured Franchisor will be offered a listing consultant which is a FBA Franchise Consultant who has a monetary interest in your franchise sales success.

24-Hour Access

Once you enroll in the Featured Franchisor Program, you will be issued a username and password, which allows you 24-hour access to your page, to make changes, delete information, upload media, or add current and relevant franchise information to your listing.  This ensures our brokers and consultants are provided with the most up-to-date information on your concept, to more effectively and accurate present to their clients.

Recorded Presentations

Throughout each month, we invite Featured Franchisors to present their concept to our members.  We have received tremendous feedback from both the members and franchisors that these presentations are highly effective in properly training the brokers and consultants on each concept, making them more successful in matching a franchisor with an appropriate candidate.  We record each presentation, and post it on the franchise’s page, allowing members to review the information, or watch the presentation if they were unable to attend the live session.  We can also provide you with a report after the webinar, summarizing not only how many attendees were on the call, but who those attendees were, so you can personally follow-up with each.  These presentations educate the consultants, as well as opening the communication between our members and franchisors, and increase the close ratio, benefiting both you and the consultant.

Legal and Sales Training

We provide legal and sales training's for franchisors regularly.  Our roster of high-profile, and successful franchise and sales experts, provide excellent training, to help bolster your business and increase franchise sales.  Our head legal advisor is Eric Riess of Greensfelder Attorneys at law, a successful and well-respected franchise lawyer.  We also provide sales training from Carl Gould, world-renowned mentor, author, speaker and sales coach.  We also periodically bring in top experts in other relevant fields, to speak to our franchisor members, to help educate them on the industry and how to strengthen their business.  All training's are free, but only offered to Featured Franchisors.

Territory Availability

Consultants may be looking for territory availability at any time of the day or night.  They may have a hot lead that wants information quickly but your staff is out of the office or tied up in meetings.  By listing the territory availability, it allows the consultant to know if that is a market they can present to their client without even speaking with you.  This section can also be used to manage inquires about available markets from the members.  If you have a particular market that you are looking to develop, state that information in the territory section.  This way you are alerting the consultants to look out for clients in the markets you specify.

Resale Listings

Have our members assist you with your resale opportunities. When a members has a candidate that is looking for an existing business they can instantly see if your franchise has an opportunity matching that criteria.  When listing your resale's, you would indicate the location and cost of your resale opportunities.  We also have the capability of listing your franchise within a resale MLS system so that not only franchise brokers but also business brokers could view the information and assist in a speedy and efficient sale of your existing franchisee’s business.

Testimonials

We highly recommend adding franchisee testimonials to your page.  This will help our brokers give a comprehensive description of your franchise, from basic background information and financial requirements, to how successful their client can be if they invest in your franchise.  Providing others’ experiences with your franchise will help to put the information into perspective for the client.

Press Releases and Other Publicity

As with testimonials, press materials allow our members to present their clients with full information on your franchise. We recommend adding any additional materials to your page, including press releases, press kits, news articles, product and company media placements and other publicity.  This will help our members understand and convey your franchise’s brand strength and awareness, as well as the overall image of your concept.

Presentation Tool

We provide a basic outline for each presentation.  They are uniform in how the basic information is presented, they will include a link to your site, and have the option of adding additional slides for pictures, flash brochures, and any other information you would like included.  The notes provided to our members make these presentations a valuable resource to the brokers.  The clients only see the bulleted information, but the brokers have access to the notes, elaborating on the bulleted content.  This allows them to fully explain the franchise, without presenting an overly busy slide to the client.  These presentations are posted on your page, you have full access to them, to approve and update as information changes.  We have found this to be an incredibly effective tool to help the brokers present a concept.

Supporting Resources

You have the ability to add a great deal of media, promotional and marketing materials to your FBA listing.  By listing additional materials for the members to further understand your franchise, you are helping them better place a potential candidate with you.

Each tool has been designed to fully educate the brokers and consultants on each franchise, allowing them to effective present and sell the concept, and reducing lead time, benefiting both parties involved.

As a franchisor, there are things that you can learn, too.  To help your processes and to further develop your systems, we offer professional legal, sales and industry training, free of charge.

Our senior legal advisor, Eric Riess of Greensfelder, Attorneys at Law, is one of the top franchise attorneys in the country.  Well-versed in all aspects of the franchising process, Eric brings a great wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise to the FBA community.  Our legal department’s focus is on assisting the franchisor, the client and the consultant in the successful sale of a franchise.  Eric will help protect your franchise from liability, as well as assist you in the award process.  His training is excellent.

Sales

Lead by Carl Gould, a renowned speaker, author and advisor, our sales team is dedicated to helping you enhance your franchise’s sales process.  They not only train you in how to better sell your concept, but also who to best sell your concept to.  Their training is based on psychological profiles and has proven to be extremely beneficial and increase profit margins tenfold.

Would you like to be able to quantify the activity of your profile?  We can provide franchisors with reports of how many brokers visited their page, presented to clients and attended the concept training's.  This allows you to measure how effective the FBA profile is, and what type of response you’re receiving.  Using these reports, we can help you to increase your exposure and to fine tune your materials.

We can provide you with a full list of member brokers and their contact information.  We hope this assists in opening the communication between franchisors and consultants, to foster a mutually beneficial relationship.

Client Referral Forms

Brokers take clients through an extensive qualification process following forms that we provide for them.  The information collected is then sent to the franchisor of the client’s choice to assist them in understanding the client’s true desires and goals for the business.  These detailed forms help to keep all parties aligned and effectively communicating. 

Is there a charge to list my franchise on the FBA?

Why should I list my franchise?

Using brokers and consultants to qualify leads and assist in the marketing of your franchise is highly beneficial.  It allows you to manage growth, and focus on only serious, qualified candidate referrals.  It allows for increased exposure and branding, and the capability of rapidly expanding your franchise system. 

 How many brokers are members of the FBA?

As of January 2010, we have over 190 brokers and are growing rapidly. 

What’s the qualification process to become a franchisor in the FBA?

You must sign our agreement which says you will pay a commission to the referring consultant, and you must provide us with the necessary materials to promote your franchise.

How many franchisors are listed?

As of January 2010, over 350 franchisors are listed with the FBA.

How do I highlight my franchise to the members?

We are here to help you market your concept to the members, and ensure they understand your franchise and the best way to present it to their clients.  We offer many ways to connect with the members, from hosting webinars, to contacting them directly, advertising on the FBA site, sponsoring features in the weekly member newsletter, and much, much more.

Can I get a lead consultant to manage inquiries?

Yes.  We have many members that specialize in managing inquiries, and further qualifying candidates.  Please let us know that you are interested in this, and we will put you in touch with these consultants.

How long has the FBA been around?

The FBA was conceived in February of 2008, after a group of franchise professionals realized the need for support and resources for this industry.

How are the members trained?

We provide franchisors with a statement of training upon request.  To briefly describe the training, brokers are given three months of weekly coaching, a mentor to guide them, monthly sales, legal and industry training, as well as an entire library of archived training's.

Can we restrict territories we want to receive leads from?

Yes. 

Can we restrict how we want the leads sent to us?

You’re the boss.  We will follow the instructions you provide on how to send referrals.

How can I control the information about my franchise that is posted on the site?

We provide you with a username and password that you can use to make edits and changes at your discretion.

Can business opportunities join the FBA?
