The FBA's Business Model

The FBA was founded in 2008, on the mission to provide ongoing support and assistance for business growth for the members of our Association.

We started out initially as a resource for brokers to connect to other industry leaders in order to work collectively in the franchise business. As more people began to join our association they felt they were doing so much better in their careers and started to ask us to offer an Introduction to Franchise Brokering class. Shortly after that, we formed the Franchise Training Institute (FTI).

We are an Association, not a network or franchise. We do not charge royalties or share in commissions with our members; we are supported by our members who find value in being a part of our Association and who pay monthly dues for our ongoing support.

Our Beginnings

The Franchise Brokers Association (FBA) is an association of members who do everything franchising.

The FBA was organized and founded by Sabrina Wall who is a highly recruited, highly successful franchise broker and franchisee. Shortly after paying for a high cost training with what she believed to be a reputable broker organization, Sabrina found she was not receiving any ongoing support or help. As a brand new consultant she was frustrated to learn there was no forum for new consultants to apply their new information or any vested interest in their success. Sabrina quickly realized that if she was to be successful in this industry, she couldn’t rely on the organization which trained her for support and business resources. Instead, she needed to build her own relationships and forge her own path in what was then a very disconnected business.

Sabrina developed her own sales procedures and relationships and went on to sell 13 franchises in her first year, well on her way to becoming a successful franchise consultant. In addition to working her quickly growing franchise sales consultancy, she was also recruited as an inside sales representative for Franchise Consultants Inc. (FCI), a franchise developer with over 20 years of experience. As many successful consultants do, Sabrina used her success to purchase two franchise concepts which she now ran as a passive owner.

Understanding that the lifeblood of the industry is leads, she discovered that an incredible amount of what she was doing was tied to her proficiency in cultivating effective leads through the internet. Her relationship with an internet marketing and web design company not only afforded her the ability to generate leads, but also to launch a platform that allowed her to communicate with the community of other industry professionals and share her resources and skills.

Today, the FBA is a company that sees constant growth year after year. Through Sabrina’s passion she has attracted a dedicated team of highly successful people all dedicated to the overall vision of the company and the success of its members.
