FBA Broker, Stacie Shannon (Fusion Franchising), met Laura in December when Laura was just beginning her franchise search and had expressed interest in SPENGA. Laura regularly visited her local Chicago SPENGA franchise and knew this was a concept that she could be passionate about given her love for the workout, but needed to understand the business model and leadership team that was behind the brand.
That’s when Carin Skowronsky and Nicole Bukacek from Franchise Fastlane came in to the picture to assist Laura & Rachel through the SPENGA discovery process. SPENGA’s custom workouts deliver a combination of spin, strength, and yoga in every 60-minute session, and is designed to help improve endurance, strength, and flexibility. The SPENGA Workout: So let’s break-down the SPENGA “WERK-out”. It consists of three 20-min segments of spin, strength, & yoga.
Ride it like you stole it….this is the “ride” part. SPENGA has recently introduced performance tracking software that allows each client to find their “sweet spot”. What does that mean? Well, it works like this. Each client performs a 2-min personal threshold test, pushing it as hard as they can, to establish their “sweet spot”. Once the “sweet spot” is established, the client then tracks their workout against that “sweet spot” for each spin class in the given month. This sweet spot holds one's accountability and is displayed on a screen so you know how hard you should be working at any given time during class.
No one ever drowned in sweat… this is the “rep” part. So this is where you focus on 20-mins of circuit style HIIT strength training. 20-seconds on and 20 seconds off. And this continues the full 20-min portion of strength. If a client is a regular, each day a new strength workout is given so boredom and repetition is not a concern. Instructors are provided the workouts by SPENGAs corporate office; each has been professionally designed so no matter which SPENGA you visit in the U.S., they will be doing the same workout!

SPENGA is looking for leaders & visionaries. Prospects that have strong leadership skills and a willingness to learn. Fitness experience is not a requirement, but having a passion for fitness is a plus. Owner involvement can range from 100% involved to passive ownership; it’s up to the owner.
