Footprints Floors’ newest franchise owner, Nathan Yarusso, spent 20 years in the Navy as a helicopter and jet pilot before retiring to a corporate position as an airline pilot. He then began working as a franchise consultant, which is how he learned of Footprints Floors and their consistent high growth franchise title. After discussing the potential of owning a franchise with his wife, Nathan decided to pursue Footprints Floors as a career.

Franchise Consultant Becomes a Franchise Owner

Nathan says he wanted to join Footprints Floors because as a broker, he likes to focus on service-based and high growth franchises. He believes that quality flooring adds a lot of value and character to a home, and since manual labor can’t be outsourced, a strong relationship between the consumer and the company is important. He also admires Footprints Floors’ large customer base and the fact that all franchisees are given the tools they need to succeed as business owners. Nathan decided to commit to Footprints Floors after seeing how involved the company’s owner, Bryan Park, is.

Nathan is looking forward to sharing the beauty of quality flooring with clients and creating his own consistent schedule, which is something he has not yet experienced in his professional career. He feels well supported by Footprints Floors and looks forward to being part of the company long term with his new franchise in Everett, WA.

Franchising with Footprints Floors

Franchisees will experience many benefits to working with Footprints Floors. Franchising with Footprints Floors comes at a low cost because owners run their own “home-based” franchise, meaning they won’t have to pay rent in a storefront. Scheduling depends on the franchise owner’s availability, making this a flexible opportunity. Combined with Footprints Floors’ high profitability and low initial investment, franchisees are set up for success. Owners are not responsible for flooring installments, answering customer calls, scheduling appointments, or generating new leads all on their own.

Footprints Floors also runs on a 4-step system designed to educate and assist franchisees. Step 1 involves corporate programs that help franchise owners with website SEO, social media marketing, and finding leads. Step 2 provides franchisees with support for customer inquiries. Customers request work through a corporate call center, and a corporate representative then refers work to the franchise owners. Next, a job is planned with the customer, and a crew of subcontractors completes the work. In Step 4, the franchisee speaks to the customer to confirm satisfaction with the job and collects the customer’s payment. This, combined with Footprints Floors’ strong reputation and national partnerships, is part of what makes it a great place to franchise.

Note: We use the term “Franchise Broker” because it is the legal term for our profession. Others in the industry use “Franchise Consultants” which they self-define. We choose to use the legal term as we feel it’s more appropriate and clear. Consultants typically charge for services. Franchise Brokers are paid by the Seller, not the Buyer. There is no charge to the Buyer for our Franchise Broker services.
