Before beginning his franchise journey, Jim worked with TIAA as a wealth management advisor, creating retirement plans for university research centers. Prior to that, he worked with Fidelity for 8 years. He didn't know then that Kitchen Tune-Up would be in his future.

After graduating from college, Jim thought he would go into the medical profession, and got a job in a hospital. He later decided this was not the career path he was looking for, and ended up going back to school to pursue a business degree.

Jim has previously owned a retail location, giving him experience in owning his own business. This retail location specialized in buying and selling artificial silk trees and plants, and eventually offered fresh flowers.

Jim has the support of his wife Robin, who currently works as a real estate agent.

Business Background Makes for a Confident Purchase

Adrienne Leigh of FBA knew with Jim’s business background, he was the perfect fit to own a franchise. With the guidance provided by Adrienne, Jim decided to buy one unit of Kitchen Tune-Up located in Milford, CT.

Note: We use the term “Franchise Broker” because it is the legal term for our profession. Others in the industry use “Franchise Consultants” which they self-define. We choose to use the legal term as we feel it’s more appropriate and clear. Consultants typically charge for services. Franchise Brokers are paid by the Seller, not the Buyer. There is no charge to the Buyer for our Franchise Broker services.
