A salon just for kids where haircuts are cool & fun rules!

Sharkey's Cuts For Kids SalonVoted as the #1 Kids Hair Salon Franchise in 2016, 2017, and 2018, Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids has carved out a niche for itself in the salon industry by catering to kids 0-14 years of age.

If you’re a parent that has struggled with getting your child to sit still for a haircut or simply enter a hair salon willingly, well Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids has come to your rescue. From novelty chairs with Netflix streaming cartoons for the little kiddos to the “tween lounge” that provides such services as mini manicures, make-up, lessons, and more, to the gaming stations for your teen-agers Sharkey’s has something to bring a smile to every clients’ face.

And that’s exactly what sold Dennis Bromley on the brand.

Working with FBA Broker Reggie- Dennis purchased 4 Sharkey’s Cuts For Kids franchise salons

Dennis was in the financial industry for 25+ years and found himself in the midst of a restructure, which eliminated the position he was in. Instead of staying with the company and taking another position, Dennis decided to venture out on his own. While considering various career options, Dennis met FBA Broker, Reggie. And the two clicked from the very beginning.

Dennis shared how Reggie took the time to get to know him and his wife, Sandi. Who they are as people, what their interests are, and what their long-term goals were. According to Dennis, Reggie “was truly focused on finding a good fit for them and helping them achieve their financial goals as well as personal goals and how they spend their time”.

Sharkey's Cuts For Kids FranchiseThrough this discovery process, Dennis and his wife considered 8 different franchise concepts that could potentially be a good fit for them. The concepts ranged from pet to food to automotive to beauty. But the one concept that kept rising to the top given their love of kids was Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids. With its passive ownership model and niche market, it appeared to be a perfect fit for the Bromley’s.

FBA Broker, Reggie, shared that he’s had great success working with Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids. He went on to say that “many of his clients are interested in an investment that will allow them to continue their current profession and not be intimately involved in the day-to-day operations of the business”. And this was certainly the case with Dennis.

With over 60 locations open to date and another 40 anticipated to open this year, Scott Sharkey is excited about their growth. He stated that “In 2018, Sharkey’s increased its corporate staff by 400% and doubled their sales”. He’s encouraged by the growth and contributes much of the success to their unique offering of “providing an experience vs. just a haircut” and the people that support it.

The partnership between FBA & Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids

Sharkey went on to say that “the Franchise Broker’s Association (FBA) has been a great referral source and has been a strong contributor to their franchise system growth”. Reggie would agree that the simplicity of the Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids model, combined with its niche focus makes it a great franchise option for clients looking to invest in a passive or semi-passive business model.

We are happy to share that Dennis & Sandi Bromley opened their first Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids location in January 2019 and are slated to open 3 more locations in Utah in the near future!
