New Franchisee

Assisting Hands® Home Care’s new franchisee, Wolfgang Willems, from Germany, recently moved to the U.S. with his family. With a background in mechanical engineering for Volkswagen, Wolfgang brings processing experience that will serve him well as a franchise owner. He is married and has four children. His first child was severely disabled. Together with his family he went through difficult years and gained experience in medical care of disabled people. Unfortunately, despite all the dedication and love, his first child passed away years later. This stroke of fate caused Wolfgang to re-evaluate the meaning of his work. In his search for a new challenge, Wolfgang was introduced to Assisting Hands by Jeremy Bollington of FBA.  “It was the family atmosphere and the prospect of helping people improve their lives that led me to join the franchise,” said Wolfgang.

An area representative provides a local support system and advice which helps as the Willem family adjusts to life in the U.S.  “Wolfgang’s persistence and diligence is going to help him achieve success with our company,” said Robbie McCullough, Assisting Hands Area Representative. “I look forward to helping him grow his home care business.”

The Assisting Hands Home Care Difference

Each franchisee of Assisting Hands is provided unparalleled support from operations to marketing and everything in between.  New franchisees experience a week of classroom training as well as an on-site visit which teaches franchise owners all they need to know about the home care business. Caregiver training, recruitment and hiring, billing, scheduling, customer service, cash management, marketing, and advertising are just some of the areas franchise owners receive training in. After this initial training, franchisees continue to receive support throughout their franchise ownership including ongoing one-on-one marketing consultation and support.

New Franchisee

Another reason that Assisting Hands experiences company-wide growth and high franchisee satisfaction ratings are because they consider their franchise owners as family and have developed a culture that encourages camaraderie and support.  The franchisees are fondly referred to as the FOFO (Family of Franchise Owners) which was an important factor for Wolfgang’s decision to become one of their franchisees.

Why Assisting Hands?

Home Care is a pandemic resilient and recession resistant high-growth Industry. Since most Americans choose to age at home, the industry will continue to grow as the population ages, providing revenue stability no matter the economy.

Assisting Hands franchisees are not required to have any background experience in the medical field. Anyone who has strong management skills, along with the drive to be their own boss and a high level of compassion for their customers, is welcome to franchise with Assisting Hands.

Note: We use the term “Franchise Broker” because it is the legal term for our profession. Others in the industry use “Franchise Consultants” which they self-define. We choose to use the legal term as we feel it’s more appropriate and clear. Consultants typically charge for services. Franchise Brokers are paid by the Seller, not the Buyer. There is no charge to the Buyer for our Franchise Broker services.
