Today, we're excited to share a particularly inspiring success story from one of our Franchise Brokers, James Hilovsky.

“In the unpredictable world of professional sports, not every first-round draft pick gets to experience a career filled with glory and success. However, sometimes, a twist of fate can lead to unexpected opportunities and triumphant comebacks.
This is the story of how I played a pivotal role in helping a former first-round draft pick for the Atlanta Braves find a unique and fulfilling opportunity with the innovative franchise BarkSuds.
Once destined for a promising career in Major League Baseball, my candidate (let’s call him Jake Turner) found himself facing unforeseen challenges that derailed his dreams. Injuries, the competitive nature of the sport, and other factors led Jake down a path of uncertainty, leaving him searching for a new direction.
As fate would have it, my own journey intersected with Jake’s. Aware of his background in baseball and his desire for a fresh start from the grueling corporate world, I couldn't help but notice the potential synergy between his skills and a unique business opportunity with BarkSuds.
BarkSuds, a rapidly growing franchise specializing in pet grooming and care, was on the lookout for individuals with a passion for animals, strong leadership qualities, and a knack for teamwork. Intrigued by the prospect of helping Jake transition from the baseball diamond and corporate world to canine companionship, I facilitated a meeting between him and the BarkSuds team.
BarkSuds, in turn, provided Jake with a supportive environment and full access peek behind the curtain of a BarkSuds unit. Jake and his family fell in love with BarkSuds. With margins of up to 40%, this will be a quick shift for my candidate. I’m excited for Jake and his family to start their journey filled with lots of four-legged friends.
Transitioning from the baseball field or corporate field to the pet grooming industry not only highlights the importance of adaptability but also serves as an inspiring reminder that second chances can lead to unexpected and rewarding paths in life.”
