FBA wants to extend our deepest gratitude to each attendee of this year’s Conference. Your presence, both in physical attendance and active participation, has made this event extraordinary. In addition, your valuable feedback over the years has helped us curate an event that truly resonates with our Members.

This year, we experienced a collective elevation, embracing new conversations, and challenging conventional ways of thinking – and we have you to thank for that. Your commitment to being present, open, and brave makes all the difference.

Key Takeaways: Tools for Overcoming Limitations

When faced with challenges and limitations – remember these tools and mindsets to move beyond them:

  1. “Invite, Don’t Fight” – Embracing Evolution: During our opening session, we revisited the journey of human elevation, understanding how embracing change rather than fearing it can lead to a promising future. This lesson is vital for us in shaping the future of our industry, and it serves as a reminder to embrace challenges head on.
  1. FFFRLL – A Mantra for Personal Growth: This tool stands for ‘Find it, Face it, Feel it, Release it, Love it, Love you.’ It’s a process of shedding limitations, symbolized by the physical removal of many layers on the stage at OMNI, enabling us to reach new heights in any given moment.
  1. Journey to Self-Actualization: Inspired by Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, we acknowledged that mostly all of our basic needs are met, setting the stage for our pursuit of self-actualization. Most people stop the climb right before it gets GOOD. Keep climbing.

Looking Forward to 2024: A Sneak Peek at What’s Ahead

As we stride towards 2024, FBA is fully committed to enhancing and expanding our offerings and strategies.

Right now, our team is actively gathering the valuable lessons and insights from this year’s Conference, with the aim of sharing them back with our community. Expect a richer blend of intentional training, insightful articles, and practical tools, all intricately designed based on your feedback and real-world experiences.

We’re focusing on content that will not only effectively promote GOOD franchises but also spotlight the critical role of our Franchise Brokers. You will soon be hearing a lot about our latest program, Rising Stars.

Another exciting development for 2024 is our increased focus on Franchise Resales. We understand the importance of this area for both Franchisors and Brokers. To lead this vital initiative, we are proud to introduce Mr. Doug Yntema as the Director of Franchise Resales. Doug brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this role and will be instrumental in setting realistic expectations, providing accurate business assessments, and offering full-service brokerage support for resales.

And last but not least (for now), as we move into the new year, our attention is sharply focused on refining our core processes and paying close attention to the finer details of our operations. We’ve already laid the broad strokes – now, it’s time for us to make significant progress in these areas. By honing in on these aspects, we aim to provide even more value to our members and the wider franchising community.

We are excited about what the future holds and are eager to embark on this journey with you. 2024 promises to be a year of significant growth, innovation, and success for the FBA community.

Let’s carry forward the spirit of ‘Beyond Limits’ into every aspect of our work and community interactions. Together, we are shaping the future of franchising – a future that’s bright, inclusive, and full of limitless possibilities.
