We just received word that one of our long time brokers and friends, Dave Sullivan, closed a deal with Express Employment Professionals. The deal went through on December 22nd for the the Houston, Texas territory!

“It’s exciting to be able to have a part in uniting a professional who wants to make a difference in his community with a company that has been making a difference in the lives of people since 1983.

On December 22nd, Roland Rivera of Houston Texas became a part of Express Employment Services as a franchisee.”

Timing is everything in this business and this match did not happen overnight. When asked about the path that lead to this franchise sale Dave explained that sometimes just the simple act of keeping in touch with his client is what makes the difference.

“In 2010, Roland requested information online about the possibility of starting a franchise business. I was not able to make contact with him in 2010, but in August of this year I emailed him and asked if he was still interested in becoming a franchise owner.

He responded and told me they actually invested in Jimmy Johns about a year ago and are currently looking to expand. However, additionally, he is also looking to get out of his primary career (banking) and he is highly interested in some sort of financial franchise…i.e. consulting, or something along those lines.

After showing Roland a few concepts we focused on Express Employment Services at the end of October. We were fortunate to have Jessica Stone from Express work with us. Jessica’s passion for the business and her professionalism really impressed Roland. Jessica took him step by step through the research process in order to help Roland, as well as Express Employment, determine if the opportunity would be a good fit. The result: It Was!

I want to thank the Franchise Brokers Association for their support and for making it possible for us to offer our clients the finest franchise opportunities available in the world.”

About Dave Sullivan and Priority 1 Franchising
Priority 1 Franchising is a wholly owned subsidiary of Priority One Marketing, Inc., a marketing firm headquartered in Coral Springs, Florida, founded in 1996. Priority 1 Franchising has been a member of the FBA since August 2010.  Priority 1’s focus is on delivering high-level, advanced education and training to people when they are considering purchasing a franchise.
Dave Sullivan is the President of Priority 1 Franchising and, in addition to being a senior broker with the FBA, has also been awarded the title of Certified Franchise Broker. This designation indicates that above his many years of franchise consulting Dave has accrued over 3,000 credit hours of intense and focused education on the Franchise Industry.
Why Express Employment Professionals?
Express Employment Professionals offers a full line of staffing services (Temporary, Flexible, Evaluation/Direct Hire, and Professional/Contract Staffing) and HR Business Solutions to individuals and businesses.
Express franchisees have average annual sales per territory of $5.15 million in the U.S. and $3.6 million in Canada. This is an incredible ROI for their 700+ franchised locations. They back all this information up with a rock solid FDD and an Item 19 that is just incredible. The FDD shows the average single unit produced annual sales of $5.15 million on a total investment of just $110,00 to $195,000.
This is an incredibly professional and organized franchise. As a matter of fact after Dave’s client Roland Rivera attended their Discovery Day he had this to say.

“When Roland went to discovery day he said that as happy as he and his partners are with their Jimmy Johns franchises, he has never seen a company handle themselves as professionally as Express in all of their dealings with him.”

Why This Matters
This is another example of the positive impact of Franchising on our local communities. With Roland’s new Express Employment Franchise he will see to it that hundreds of people are given an opportunity to work and find new positions. We’re also happy to know that Dave will be rewarded for helping Roland sort through his options to come to this decision.
Ultimately, Roland paid no more for his franchise using a franchise broker than he would have otherwise, and was rewarded himself with being presented a concept he did not even know was the perfect fit for him.
At the FBA we believe anyone can become a successful business owner if they discover the right opportunity. Congrats!
