Revolutionary health and wellness franchise signs development deal for 18 centers throughout Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston.

BeBalanced Hormone Weight Loss Centers – a burgeoning chain of non-medical centers that offers a different and natural approach to weight loss, by balancing the hormones – is headed to Texas.

The Expansion of Wellness Franchises

James Webb, a veteran of the health and wellness sector who already owns and manages 33 Orange Theory Fitness franchises throughout Texas, has signed an agreement to develop 18 BeBalanced centers throughout Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston.

Though exact addresses have yet to be announced, the first three centers are expected to open in early 2020 in the Dallas area, specifically in Frisco, Plano and McKinney.

“I couldn’t be more pleased about my partnership with BeBalanced,” Webb said. “After being in the health and wellness industry for so many years, it’s exciting to find a concept that is changing lives in an innovative way. I know that it will have a positive impact on the people in communities throughout Texas.”

Webb’s storied career started as a radiologic technologist in his home state of Mississippi. After moving to Dallas in 1983, he began working as the Director of Radiology at a local hospital and, for the next 13 years, worked on the executive team for various medical imaging companies. In 1996, Webb started his first of several companies and became a key leader in the industry. After more than 40 years in the medical field, he turned his focus to the fitness sector and became one of the largest Orange Theory franchisees in the country.

“I see a lot of similarities between BeBalanced and Orange Theory,” Webb added. “They’re both brands that entered the market at a key time when consumers were looking for something radically different. I’m excited to be joining the team and be a part of the bright future ahead.”

The BeBalanced Difference

Launched in 2007, the BeBalanced concept was founded by Dawn Cutillo, a former corporate wellness executive who noticed the struggle for women over 35 to lose weight, even with strict diet and exercise plans. Cutillo’s own struggles pushed her to partner with a naturopathic doctor and chemist to research the impact of hormones on weight and other women-centric health issues. In 2010, she expanded on the center’s services to cover weight loss as well.  The concept took on new life in 2014 when David Cutillo, Dawn’s brother, saw the positive impact the centers could have on women across the country and bought the right to franchise the concept.

Today, BeBalanced uses a non-medical, holistic approach to solve all menopausal and PMS symptoms without the use of prescriptions or hormone therapy. Instead of replacing hormones your body doesn’t need, such as testosterone and estrogen, BeBalanced works with your body to balance hormones naturally.

“BeBalanced has discovered through research and experience that hormones have everything to do with weight, especially for women over 35,” said Cutillo. “Our innovative approach can help women balance their hormones so they don’t have to go the more risky route later of actually replacing their hormones via traditional HRT.”

Though a majority of the company’s clients come for weight loss, their services cover a wide range of issues women face.

“We have helped women who are facing severe PMS, PCOS and menopause and the symptoms associated with those conditions,” noted Cutillo. “Regardless of what a client comes to us with our goal is always the same, to improve their quality of life and educate them on how to maintain this desired higher quality of life.”
