Small Business Gains Big Experience

What started as a low-urgency inquiry turned into a successful franchise deal for FBA Broker Jim Nail and his client. Jim’s client first appeared as a lead in early February but was in absolutely no hurry and postponed their first call several times, for weeks, before finally agreeing to a conversation. As a business professional with a net worth of over $10+ million, Jim’s client didn’t really need a new venture. Decades ago, he had launched his own small electronics repair company that happened to sign up a corporate account with an online bookseller named “Amazon.” In those early days this was just another smallish corporate contract. However, as Amazon grew exponentially, their consumer electronics needs grew too, and the client ultimately took over all their refurbishment business on returned items.

After gaining 150 technicians on the East Coast, and another 150 on the West Coast, Jim’s client sold his business to a Fortune 500 company. Funny enough, the client emphasized that he was never technically proficient at all. But Jim says, “He is a stellar business development guy, and a very good manager. It’s about relationships for him, not about equipment.”

Franchise Deal Success for B2B Professional

When Jim and his client first started working together, the client had an interest in franchising with UBreakIFix. Unfortunately, this was not a franchise that Jim could help with. But the truth was that his client was not looking for a chance to run a small consumer repair shop; what he loved was the B2B side of business, and this was something UBreak!Fix lacked. After Fastsigns acquired NerdsToGo, the company had a goal of relaunching as a primarily B2B provider. Jim knew this would appeal to his client, and after an introduction to NerdsToGo, the client never looked back. They closed the deal on Ne rdsToGo, and now Jim’s client is happily running the franchise with his former head of technical operations.

There is no charge to the Buyer for our Franchise Broker services.
