Have you ever wondered how a painting franchise can truly set itself apart from its competitors? For Painter 1, it comes down to its ownerships 20+ years of experience in the industry, its in-house proprietary software program, which was architected by none other than one of the owners himself, and the “family feel” of those who comprise the system.

Painter 1 and FBA Broker Rich close another franchise deal together – in just 2 months

FBA Broker, Rich, can attest first-hand that Painter 1’s “family feel” is what closed a recent deal for him. Rich’s client was in his late 40s and had spent 20+ years in a catering business. He had recently been let go from his job due to downsizing. The thought of going back to the corporate world seemed daunting and his client was ready for a change. Rich assisted his client through the franchise discovery process introducing multiple franchise concepts that would fit his clients’ personal and financial goals. But one concept stood out head and shoulders above the rest and that was Painter 1. After only two calls with Painter 1’s leadership team, Rich’s client decided this was the perfect franchise for him. And that deciding factor was the “family feel” of the system. From start to finish, this deal only took 2 months for Rich to close.

Congratulations on a job well done.

Who is the Painter 1 franchise?

Although the brand is fairly young, the expertise amongst the leadership team is not. Conrad Kolba and Jason Leber established Painter 1 in 2015 and started franchising in 2016. Kolba was the original founder and owner of Five Star Painting, while Leber was the former Director of Marketing at Five Star Painting. As a team, Kolba and Leber recognized their strengths and eventually left Five Star Painting to launch their vision of Painter 1.

Since joining the Franchise Broker Association (FBA) in March 2018, Painter 1’s ownership has been thrilled with its level of success in closing deals through the FBA broker network. According to Jason Leber, co-owner of Painter 1, “the candidates that are sent their way by FBA brokers are high caliber individuals”. Leber went on to share that “the FBA brokers that they have worked with to date have been very professional, positive, and strong communicators”.

With 16 franchises sold to date, Painter 1 believes much of their franchisees’ success is due to their ability to automate much of their work. As a result, Painter 1 owners are able to “smartly” communicate with their customers and provide quotes quickly and simply due to the companies cloud-based, one-stop-shop proprietary software program.
